Web Video on the Big Screen
This month's theme is NON-HUMAN, by which we mean anything that doesn't include human actors on-screen. We welcome animation, puppets, animals, machinima, or whatever other interpretation you have. Submissions will be accepted between August 1 and 21.
The live event will be held at Catchlight Studios in Los Angeles from 7:00 - 9:30 PM.
What are NewTeeVee Pier Screenings?
The NewTeeVee Pier Screenings, a series of four summer events, bring together content creators and online video aficionados in a casual setting. These events are live tests of how well online video survives the move from the PC to the gigantic screen, accompanied by entertaining commentary from our judges and informative talks by relevant, successful online video entrepreneurs. Past themes included episodic content, parody, product placement and user-generated advertising, and citizen news.

Prizes
G-Technology will be giving 320G external harddrives to the top three winners as voted by the live audience.
The first place winner will also receive a 1 Terabyte external harddrive and a free laptop engraving provided by Etchstar.
Get Your Own Cell Phone Etched

Etchstar will provide free onsite etching for iPhones and cell phones at the NewTeeVee Pier Screening. If you have registered for the event and would like to have your phone etched with your company logo, send the logo to newteevee@etchstar.com. Logos should be black and white, EPS or PDF format and 300 DPI at a size not smaller than 400 pixels by 400 pixels. We will also have a catalog of images you can choose from at the event.

Lydia Antonini - Dir. Digital Development, Warner Bros.
Lydia Antonini oversees digital content for Warner Premiere, Warner Bros. direct-to-consumer division. Warner Premiere is developing and producing shortform episodic digital content for distribution across online, wireless, electronic sell through and video-on-demand platforms. Antonini joined Warners from JibJab, where she produced "The Great Sketch Experiment" with director John Landis as part of her duties as director of development and talent. She previously served stints at TV Land, Atom Films and BBC Worldwide Americas.

Allen DeBevoise - CEO, Machinima.com
Allen DeBevoise is the Chairman and CEO of Machinima.com, the leading online entertainment network for the machinima movement which is spearheading the integration of filmmaking, animation and videogame technologies to produce computer-generated content in real-time. Machinima.com provides news, articles, interviews, how-to and in-depth "making of" features on creating machinima as well as the largest selection of machinima videos from around the world.

Aaron Simpson - Founder, Cold Hard Flash
Aaron Simpson is the Founder of Cold Hard Flash, a popular news and entertainment site focusing on the rapidly expanding universe of Flash animation. Animation Magazine called the site "one of the 13 platforms reshaping our world." This year Simpson was invited to join the board for the upcoming 2009 Platform International Animation Festival, which is now the biggest animation event in the United States.

NewTeeVee is the leading chronicler of the reinvention of television. The site describes and analyzes the spreading phenomenon of online video, including how high-quality digital video will be produced, distributed and monetized across the web.
